Frequently Asked Questions

We are often asked the same few questions by new and prospective clients, though we are happy to answer any of your questions at any time, here are a few you may be wondering about. Should you have a question that is not answered here please contact us.

Why do you only work with 12 clients a year?

We limit the number of clients we work with each year so we can provide exceptional service. We are on-call for all of our clients 24/7. We are known for going above and beyond with our service and we wouldn’t be able to provide personalized service if we took on too many clients. Our goal is exceptional service.

Do you do work for non-profits? 501(c)(3)s?

We work with both general non-profit organizations and 501(c)(3)s. However, we only accept donation work for 501(c)(3) organizations. If you are a non-profit organization and would like to discuss your project, or speak with some of our non-profit clients about their experience, please contact us.

What are your rates?

Please view our rates page for our hourly and maintenance rates. Please note that our hourly rates are for just that – hourly work – these rates do not reflect our project costs.

What is the average cost for a web site?

We have created websites for as little as $1,500 for special consideration clients, to well over $150,000. Final costs are subject to change throughout the project. We price our projects one of three ways depending on your needs:

We believe in doing the right thing by our clients. We will not sell you something you do not need and we will work with you to ensure you get what your clients and visitors need for the best experience.

You are absolutely amazing. I cannot tell you that enough. And I seriously mean that. You are one of the first people in a long time that has actually surpassed my expectations. Not only are you able to deliver everything we have asked for, but you have been able to do it in a short amount of time. AND – that is not it – as if that is not enough – you actually provide me with so much more information to make my life easier, that I cannot even begin to thank you.

Why do you insist on e-mail communication?

To ensure everyone is on the same page we prefer e-mail and other forms of written correspondence, that way everyone has a record of what has been asked, what has been approved, and what everyone is responsible for. This is as much for your protection as it is for ours. This is why we also record our meetings. There is no way we can remember every tiny thing that is said in a two hour meeting and we don’t want there to be any misunderstandings.

How do I know if you are taking new clients?

Please contact us and we will discuss your project and if we have a spot open for you. If we do not have a spot open you will be placed on our Urgent Client List and in the meantime we will have one of our associate firms contact you for your immediate needs.

What is an Exclusive Client?

An Exclusive Client is a client who has purchased our services for the calendar year, much like keeping an attorney on retainer. If you are interested in these services please contact us and we will discuss your needs and if this package is appropriate for you. Our Exclusive Client packages start at $150,000 and include our full breadth of services and experiences – including our Private Business Consulting.

Do I need to sign an agreement to use your services?

Yes. An agreement is drafted following our consultation stating, among the legal outlines, the project goals, the specifics (i.e. for web sites: number of pages, cost of pages, etc.), the expected timeline, and the estimated final cost.

This agreement may be amended throughout the project development due to unpredictable alterations of the project goals. Should a change occur that affects the final cost the project will not proceed without explicit consent from the client. All other changes do not require contract amendments.

Our agreement protects both our business and our yours and is based on Missouri and Federal law and we will be happy to walk you through each article in the agreement so you have a full understanding of the terms.

Our agreement is in place with Fortune 50 companies, one of the largest non-profit organizations in the U.S., and has held up in both State and Federal court and we encourage you to have your attorneys review the agreement if you have any questions.

How long is our commitment?

Our commitment begins with the acceptance of our agreement (per state law, signing is not necessary for acceptance) and is finalized upon either (a) the agreement’s noted end date or (b) the project’s completion and the signing of the copyright transfer and project completion outline agreement. If maintenance is part of your purchase then your commitment extends through the maintenance contract.

Can I update everything at my website myself?

Yes, it would be our pleasure to code your website in such a way that you can edit any text at the site and potentially any related media files. We also provide training and backup support to ensure you don’t get stressed trying to stay up on your website.

What if I have more questions?

Please contact us and we will be happy to discuss any questions you may have.
